In recognition of international two-way amateur radio communication, the Straight Key Century Club (SKCC) issues Worked All Continents certificates.
Qualification for the WAC award is based upon submission by an SKCC member detailing contacts with other members in each of the six continental areas of the world. All contacts must be made from the same continental area of the world and take place on or after 00:00 UTC Oct. 9, 2011. This date coincides with the October 2011 Weekend Sprintathon.
Participate must use straight keys, sideswipers (cooties), or bugs. For details, see the club's policy on approved keying devices here.
The six required continents are North America, South America, Oceania, Asia, Europe and Africa. Continental boundaries are determined by the International Amateur Radio Union.
Endorsements are available for individual bands and QRP. The application must show the band for any band endorsements. All contacts for the QRP endorsement must be made while running a maximum power of 5 watts output.
It is strongly suggested that the WAC Award Application be used to submit for this award. If, for any reason, you are unable to submit a computer-readable application form, please contact the award administrator before submitting your application. You can download the application here.
Email your application to the SKCC WAC manager, at wac-manager@skccgroup.com.
