AF4K - Bry (184) | It was a busy month with a bit less time for operating and conditions were surprisingly bad. K3Y event is in full swing now and so popular this year. that;s great to see. I have been busy getting ready for NOVICE RIG ROUNDUP in February. Not an official SKCC activity this first year out but we would like to give it a try and see what improvements can be made next year and perhaps ask for official SKCC status for the event in 2016. Dust off your tube rigs and straight keys!! Details here: htp://NoviceRigRoundup.com 73 to all and I look forward to contacting you on the bands soon. |
F5DE - Bernard (29) | Nice to end last night of the year with 8 SKCC contacts till a few minutes before the new one ! I hope to meet many SKCCers during this new year ! HNY to all and your families ! 73 de Bernard, F5DE. |
K6III - Jerry (126) | Happy New Year 2015 ! WORKING W.A.S. Senator - still 16 states without a S member. |
K7CHS - Rick (21) | Thanks to all I chatted with. Rick 73 |
K7DMB - Larry (5) | Slow Month |
K8JD - John (115) | Dec started out well and then the BIG tree fell on my 80M dipole and deprived me of my most reliable night time band ! I managed to do quite well making SKCC members add up in my log ! Having fun with the K3Y hunt now. 73 John |
K9JP - Jeff (33) | Trying my best to have one or more skcc QSO's per day. December was a good month! |
KK6L - Jake (68) | My first brag. I've been motivated and working on my Tribune endorsements, so I feel I have done well this month! Thanks for all the Q's everyone! |
KZ5OM - Jerry (70) | Happy New Year 2015 ! |
LJ6BG - Mick (44) | Happy New Year to all SKCC-members. I am looking forward to the spring. Conditions here in the north were often poor during night time so far this winter. |
N4OW - Al (206) | Enjoyed adding more members to my total members worked quest. Brag is habit forming . |
N5JPX - Jim (8) | I lost my antenna for the last part of the month and didn't have any contacts until I got it back in the air. Between Christmas and rain, rain, and more rain, I didn't get it back on the air until January 10th. Thanks for the contacts and hope to do better in January. 73, Jim |
N5OBC - Mark (16) | Haven't been on in months. Lost mom this year, spent most free time at work or helping dad in person and remote. Destroyed my left shoulder last week and came up to learn to send left handed so I can K3Y some. Enjoying the radio again. Thanks for being here when I came back. |
N8KR - Ken (14) | The only thing I can "brag" about is the 75 degree weather that I experienced during my December in FL. It's hard to stay inside and play radio with sunshine and warmth outside! If you hear a "shaky" fist from me in January, it's because I'm back home in the cold! Brrrrrr |
NC4RT - Randy (22) | Thanks WD8KRV Dave for a 2 x qrp on 40 meters, 1750 miles, 5w. Not a record, but fun anyhow ;-) Also congrats to W2MDW for his 3D printed pump.. |
NP3CW - Julio (19) | Not much of activity this month with 2 of my radios on the repair shop, poor propagation to my area and others honeydo |
NW7US - Tomas (29) | Was a very busy month for me, outside of SKCC. Next month, January of 2015, I will operate a K3Y/0 schedule... then, the rest of the year I will be a force to be reckoned with! SKCC rules -- because each member makes it so! |
OE1HXS - Siegfried (2) | Thank you Bernard and Bert for my first two SKCC QSOs! Looking forward to more contacts in the coming month and years. Happy New 2015 from Vienna! |
W1LIC - Wes (38) | I was pleased to be able to achieve the Senator award during December. |
W4RQ - Rich (102) | December was a busy month, and a rewarding one too. Mid month I achieved a long sought after goal of Senator! And my new(to me) FT-1000D arrived just a few days before Christmas. Last but not least, Thanks to the guys that made my 15 2xQRP QSO's happen this month, and the 7 different DX members I had QSO's with. Next month K3Y !!!!! I Love January. |
W7GVE - Ed (156) | I am very thankful for the opportunity to live in the free world where we can enjoy ham radio. Thanks to the SKCC Volunteers who make our SKCC enjoyable.. Hope to work you in the sprints and for regular QSOS.. 73 ED W7GVE |
WA2JSG - Curt (23) | Getting close to my one-a-day Brag contact, but just not there yet. I will make it my New Years Resolution. Happy New Year to all! |
WA4FAT - Bill (134) | A bit less urgency, now that I've finally attained Senator, and more time for rag chews. Thanks to everyone for the many enjoyable visits this month, and best wishes for a peaceful and health new year! And thanks as well to Curt, WA2JSG, for curating this fun component of SKCC.73! |

January | |
AA1JD - Matt (101) | Best month for me so far! I also finished my T this month! |
F5DE - Bernard (26) | Hello
all, a new year was starting with several events this month ! Outside SKS-E, WES and K3Y stations, I did 26 brag QSO. Let's go for a new year of SKCC traffic, my favourite traffic for 4 years ! 73 everybody. |
K2PAY - Jerry (16) | Too bad I could count the K3Y contacts this month. Jerry |
K7CHS - Rick (15) | Always good to talk to another
SKCC straight keyer! 73s to all, Rick |
K8JD - John (83) | somehow missed Dec but Jan was good with the extra activity of chasing K3Y so I snagged a bunch of SKCC members not operating as K3Y stations. |
KB0ETU - Phil (1) | 1 = lonely number. Will do better. |
KC0GP - George (101) | Qualified for my Centurion in one month. Is that a good brag? Hihi |
N5OBC - Mark (139) | I went from 6626 to 6626T this month and had a blast doing so. Worked three hours as a K3Y/5 and made a few contacts so that was a success, it was a topper to another 2 watt 0-9 sweep with only AF/AU missed this year. Next year I will have a verticle wire for those high bands. |
W0SZV - Eldon (20) | good month for only 15 days. moved in now and new antennas soon |
W2NRA - Art (20) | AS a Newbie this month was mostly off air practice. Still not worthy for on-air Qs. |
W7GVE - Ed (104) | A fun month-- I also worked 203 K3Y stations-- missed AF for a clean sweep-- I got FT5ZM on 3 different bands-- wish I could count him as AF--- Thanks to Rick, K7CHS I now have a beautiful 40 ft wooden mast that is designed to withstand our 80 MPH winds--- Congrats to the SKCC for 230 new members in Jan--- I will try to work them all//73 es CU--ED/W7GVE |
WA2JSG - Curt (28) | Busy
month. I think this is the highest brag month I've had. Of course, I kept my
brag contacts separate from any K3Y and Sprint contacts I made. Fun month! |
WB5JWI - Les (73) | One
of my best SKCC months ever. Had a real blast and even worked some non-skcc
CW stations. |
WB5KSD - Jon (100) | If
the log checks out, I worked my first 100 SKCC numbers starting on 5 January
and ending 30 January. I've had a
blast transitioning from chasing DX back to using older radios and my trusty
old J-38. Takes me back 40 years ago
when I was a novice at age 12. Thanks
for sponsoring a great club! |
WU1V - Rick (4) | Limited time on the air this month. Only made 37 contacts this month, of which only 4 were "brag-worthy" hihi. 73 Rick |
February | |
F5DE - Bernard (9) | Even
if not a big result for this month, always interested in the brag
activities. 73 to all and see you soon ! |
K7CHS - Rick (6) | Thanks to all. Been very busy at
work and tired in the evenings so my QSO count is pretty low. Thank God I
have the rest of my life to spend on the radio. Rick, 73 |
KC0GP - George (321) | Busy month with the jump from member to centurian - tribune - to TX4. It was a lot of fun and work. |
W0SZV - Eldon (86) | Good to be back at a QTH where I can have antennas again. Felt good to be back on the air more. |
W2NRA - Art (120) | New member here & having a great time. Jan was mostly off-air straight key practice, Feb was still lots of practice but a lot more on-the-air. FTR in Feb I was 11634, then on 26-FEB 11634C, not 11634T until 1-Mar. |
W7GVE - Ed (142) | Another great month highlighted by a visit from Ken, N8KR and his wife Deb---- Then reading his write up on the Newsletter made it even better--- The bands were good and the weather was great- not like the East Coast. Lets keep this brag page going. 73/ED/W7GVE |
WA6OEF - Preston (63) | Pretty slow start |
WB5JWI - Les (38) | a really good month. A lot of new numbers, 7 different DX QSOs, and pretty good band conditions and I was only able to be on the air for the first two weeks! |
WU1V - Rick (6) | Haven't been very active lately, but made 6 brags! All QRP too! |
March | |
AF4K - Bry (100) | An amazing month. I have gone from zero SKCC activity to LOTS Of SKCC activity in a short period of time and you guys have all made it a lot of fun. THANKS for SKCC! |
F5DE - Bernard (48) | 73 everybody, see you soon for Brag, SKS-E and WES contacts ! |
K6III - Jerry (42) | Resubmission - I forgot to remove the SKS and WES contacts in the earlier submission. |
K7CHS - Rick (16) | Thanks to all I chatted with. Lets keep the Brag going!! 73 |
KC0GP - George (217) | Down a bit this month due to work travel but still a very fun month. |
KG4W - Ed (131) | First monthly brag entry for me. |
NU4M - Greg (40) | Got my C In February. Now got my T in April I have become quiet popular because of the new number. I have been on the air more than I have in the past since my new awards. 73 Greg |
W0SZV - Eldon (144) | Good month, lots of bad weather made radio time good. |
W2RNA - Art (260) | I made many more new friends this month. |
W7GVE - Ed (160) | A great month for this old guy--- lots of SKCC DX also!! Also a lot of new SKCC members joined.. 10 and 12 meters were good to me and while we still have cycle 24 I hope more folks will use that band... 73 ED/W7GVE |
WA6OEF - Preston (90) | Thought I'd give this activity a try... |
WU1V - Rick (1) | Not much to brag about this March, only 1 QSO the whole month but it was a DX QRP contact with a SKCC member in Italy which was a nice event. 72, Rick |
April | |
K6III - Jerry (58) | Filling in band slots for SKCC awards, etc. Most activity was using my club call, KZ5OM (reported separately). |
K7CHS - Rick (12) | Thanks for all the nice QSO's 73 |
K8JD - John (62) | Back to counting SKCC members worked for the Brag page. In the month of April I spent 8 days in the hospital With reclogged coronary bypss that needed redone since last time 17 years ago. Feeling much better and was anxious to get back to my Vibroplex and J38. 73, JD |
KJ5WU - Kurt (15) | I haven't submitted a brag in a long time, so I thought just maybe I should start again. Thanks Curt for helping to keep this activity going. |
KZ5OM - Jerry (71) | Filling in SKCC award band slots. Also worked all but 4 of the Senators. |
NP3CW - Julio (121) | This is the first time I submit the total of diferent SKCC numbers worked on April 2014. I worked more station on the K3Y 2014 but I forget to send them. Good luck to all. de Julio NP3CW |
W0SZV - Eldon (76) | 32 states, 9 dx countries, S=8, T=41, C=6, no letter=21 good month and a lot of people working for their C's still waiting for some good weather to get the big loop back up. |
W2NRA - Art (274) | I was busy working on my S 200 which I completed on 4/28/2014. Thank you to all who gave me QSOs. My 4th fun month with SKCC. |
W7GVE - Ed (83) | Not quite as much time for hamming this month, but still time enough for some great QSOs. Had a drop by visit from Tom K4ZGB and the good fortune to work the Fernando de Noronha DX station CU down the log 73//W7GVE |
WA6OEF - Preston (49) | Not very active this month. |
WB5JWI - Les (4) | Only able to get on for 2 days with a total of 5 QSOs. Time I was able to QRV bands were about as poor as I've seen in a while. May 1 and a new month …. Hopefully a good month! |
May | |
F5DE - Bernard (43) | Only active during (european) nights it was nice to did 52 contacts this month amongst them 43 different SKCC callsings. 73 es see u soon ! |
K6III - Jerry (25) | Concentrated on my club call, KZ5OM (reported separately). |
K7CHS - Rick (31) | Working on my Tx8, thanks to all I chatted with. 73 |
K8JD - John (68) | Worked a lot of newer members this month, #s above 10K ! |
KJ5WU - Kurt (3) | I was not able to be on the air much in May. Hopefully June will be much better! |
KZ5OM - Jerry (68) | a lackluster month with SKCC. Jerry |
N5JPX - Jim (14) | Can one even "brag" about 14 QSO's outside of the sprints? I gave the Icom 7410 a rest this month and decided to let the FT-817ND do the work. I was looking at the sked page and saw Stan, ZL2BLQ, looking for contacts so I called with all 5 watts and, to my surprise, he answered. The brag for the month for me was 1,603 miles per watt with a lot of the credit going to Stan! Sure is fun working SKCC members! Thanks for the QSO's. |
NC4RT - Randy (41) | Special thanks for these 2 x QRP QSOs: AK4JA, KC9W, AE0SL, WB0PYF, F5DE |
NP3CW - Julio (52) | My second time I send total of diferent SKCC numbers. |
W1LIC - Wes (15) | Gud to make four of the brag contacts on six meters during May. Also made a few more on six in the WES |
W2NRA - Art (154) | Nicer weather = lower No of unique SKCC numbers worked. |
WA2JSG - Curt (26) | Wow, quite a Brag month for me with 26 contacts! My goal is to make at least one a day (minimum), but of course that doesn't always work out (hi hi). Thanks to all who gave me a contact. 73, Curt |
WA8OKR - Bill (41) | My first brag was fun. Everyone loves to brag about something. Thanks for the fun everyone! |
WB5JWI - Les (33) | A very good month - I finally worked Roberto, IK0MER, and had one of my best months ever (non-K3Y). |
WL7WH - Bob (4) | With wx warming I have to spend more time working on outdoor projects, so Radio operations are at a minimum for next few months. |
June | |
AH6AX - Larry (123) | Fun Stuff! First time in the Brag... doubt I'll get this many in future - was working hard for the S award. Now I can settle down and chase some QRP and other SKCC stuff. Aloha, Larry |
DL9YCS - Joerg (2) | Very lazy with ham radio in summer. have to build up a portable station for working from the garden :-) Have a nice summertime. 73 Joerg DL9YCS |
F5DE - Bernard (7) | Only seven SKCC contacts, retired people are really too busy, hi ! 73 to the group. |
K6III - Jerry (33) | Concentrating on KZ5OM this month. Jerry |
K7CHS - Rick (20) | Thanks to all. Working on my Tx8 lately. 73 Rick |
K8JD - John (72) | This month I worked an average of 2.4 unique members per day. I also worked several members more than once, usually on different bands. Lot of active newer members, the numbers above 10K totaled 23 worked. I missed field day, being on a family camping trip with no radios that weekend. That could given me a lot higher count, possibly ? |
K9JP - Jeff (77) | Working towards my Senator award. Only wish I was retired and had more time for QSO's! I appreciate everyone who has heard my QRP signals and Thank You for your number. 72/73 de Jeff K9JP |
KB0ETU - Phil (4) | Got flooded out at the end of April, so have been pretty much off the air. Lost my radio room and hopefully it will be back operational by the end of July. Then I'll be back doing the sprints too - maybe even before the end of the month. 72/73 |
KJ5WU - Kurt (15) | Thanks for the contacts this month! |
KZ5OM - Jerry (118) | Revised count for June 2014. Learning to use the new BRAG submission form! |
N1DN - Phil (34) | Nice to work a combination of new members and old radio friends this past month. Thanks to all for the QSOs. Phil |
N5JPX - Jim (33) | My second month for the “Brag” and this time the number is a bit more respectable. The 33 SKCC QSO’s I managed this month, outside of the sprints, were a lot of fun. I managed to make several 2xQRP contacts as well as some nice DX. I got Mick as LA5SAA and LI5SAA and Stan, ZL2BLQ and the ever present John, VK4TJ. Most of these contacts were made using my 1947 Vibroplex Bug that I am still trying to tame. Thanks to all for the QSO’s and the fun. 73, Jim, N5JPX |
NP3CW - Julio (50) | Good luck to all. |
W4KRN - Karen (30) | Kinda pitiful, but sending it in anyway. |
W7GVE - Ed (69) | A nice relaxing month--- I did not have as much time to operate this month but still managed to make some outstanding QSOS and enjoyed both sprints very much.. Lets keep those SKCC freqs humming...73 / ED / W7GVE |
WA4FAT - Bill (111) | Like the proverbial slow and steady turtle just plodding along, that's me in my quest toward Senator. I'm nearing TX4, so the hurdle seems only Herculean to me now, but not impossible. Thanks to everyone who has managed to dig my weak signal from the ever-present noise on 40. Health and happiness to you all! |
WB5JWI - Les (1) | Between thunderstorms and horrible band conditions, I only managed ONE QSO in June. I hope July will be better. |
July | |
AC2C - Ron (23) | Less than one a day - I gotta do better than that. |
AD0IV - Kevin (89) | Thanks for all the contacts toward my Tx3 this month! |
F5DE - Bernard (22) | 73 to the group, always a pleasure to have a few SKCC contacts ! |
K6III - Jerry (15) | concentrated with KZ5OM call this month. |
K7CHS - Rick (5) | Thanks for the contacts, 73 |
K7DMB - Larry (24) | This is my first Brag entry hope I did it correctly |
K8JD - John (65) | Nearly half of the members I worked in July had numbers over 10K ! See you next month. |
K9JP - Jeff (122) | Thank You everyone for helping reach my goal of Senator this month. The SKCC Group is outstanding! 73, Jeff K9JP |
KZ5OM - Jerry (164) | Made a focused effort on the Brag Log this month. All logged contacts made outside of WES/SKS activities. All QSOs made at the 100w level (my 500w linear died last month!). May go back to QRP with my K2 at 5w. TNX for the Q's de Jerry in NorCal |
LI5SAA - Mick (164) | I enjoyed all contacts. I was up almost every night for 3 to 4 hours. Thanks to all who called me. I am sure that I cannot get such a high score next month. |
N5JPX - Jim (10) | No too much to brag about this month! Summer projects really take up the time and the bands haven't been that generous lately. Fun as always. Thanks for the QSO's. 73, Jim |
NC4RT - Randy (21) | Several of my QSOs this month were jerry rigged from the beach, using my Vizkey paddles rigged as a straight key. Special thanks to Dennis W6UT for a great 2400 mile 2 x QRP contact. |
NS8A - Jeff (64) | Thank You everyone for helping reach my goal of Tribune this month. All of the NS8A QSOs are made in front of a live audience at the lighthouse! So, some of my errors sending or spelling where from trying to answer questions the visitors had, and do the SKCC QSO at the same time. 73, Jeff NS8A |
VO1BB - Bill (3) | As you can see I am very active on the bands. hi The rig was a ft 817. Next month I will try out my new TT 516 and maybe double my score. 73 |
W0SZV - Eldon (43) | Fun month. Ten Tec Jupiter at 100w G5RV up 20ft, 5 band hustler vert ground mounted with no radials and a 160meter loop up about 30ft. many different keys used in rotation daily, all "Cootie keys" looking forward to the Aug WES |
W4KRN - Karen (0) | Darn...all the CW contacts I made were in Sprints, SKCC, NAQCC and Flying Pigs. Can't brag this month. :-( I've been on JT65 more lately, was giving myself a bit of a break after receiving the Senator award. |
W7GVE - Ed (48) | A bit slow this month-- still enjoyed great qsos// ED |
WA2JSG - Curt (38) | Great Brag Month for me! |
WA4FAT - Bill (78) | An unfortunate side effect of a serious Quest For S is that leisure ragchews tend to suffer, and I regret that. Never-the-less, I have to be available to pounce whenever a new C, T or S appears on the horizon. Thanks so much to all the fine operators I've had the pleasure to meet this past month. 73! |
WA6CAL - Joe (17) | First time on the Wednesday Sprint - fun stuff, will be doing it again and the WES if I can remember. |
WU1V - Rick (36) | Was QRT for a few months due to career activities. How I long for retirement! Nice getting back on the air the last half of the month. Propagation was poor most of the time else I would probably have more to "brag" about hihi. Poor condx prompted me to go full power at 100 watts this month instead of my usual QRP. Will likely try 5 watts in August. 73 all. |
August | |
AC2C - Ron (25) | Still not up to one-a-day for the month. Gotta try harder !!! |
AF4K - Bry (36) | A tough propagation month for amateur radio here in Florida but better days are ahead! |
AH6AX - Larry (38) | Busy month with non-ham related activities... enjoying summer! Aloha from MD! |
F5DE - Bernard (19) | 10 contacts from 1st to 30th of August, then 9 more contacts the last day of the month, hi ! Not a huge score but my pleasure was to find some SKCC friends for a few exchanges. 73 and see you soon everybody ! |
K6III - Jerry (133) | Concentrated on Brag this month. Next month (SEPT) I think I will try QRP 5w - Have an Elecraft K2 on the shelf here. TNX for the Brag Log Q's |
K8JD - John (42) | Not a big month due to family activities. Grandson is in the High School marching band AND orchestra and have to go to activities at the school to hear him play. Still had time to make some SKCC QSOs. |
K9JP - Jeff (68) | Poor to Great propagation this month, but Great QSO's were to be had! Thanks everyone for the copy of my QRP signals. 72 de Jeff K9JP |
KG6MC - Bob (39) | First Brag report. This month I concentrated on obtaining new NRs trying to get to Tx8. Also most contacts this month were during WES (159). Only 39 additional contacts, but most were new NRs. Will definitely try to improve for September. |
KZ5OM - Jerry (20) | Concentrated on my personal call, K6iii. KZ5OM is my club call. 100w and various antennas |
LI5SAA - Mick (109) | Thanks to all who worked me again for the BRAG. From now on and for the rest of this year I will be LJ6BG - and I am waiting with exitement for a big pile up for me, hi hi. I hope that the geomagnetic field will settle down soon. |
N5JPX - Jim (22) | OK. 22 may not be a major brag in numbers but I will brag about working Andy, E51AND with 5 watts! 6,023 miles with 5 watts. I'll brag about that contact for awhile. |
NC4RT - Randy (30) | Special thanks to W4RQ Rich, KC9W Randy, and NN0SS Steve for QRP contacts... |
NS8A - Jeff (24) | Lots of visitors to the Lighthouse daily and lots of questions while operating there as well. Will put up a new long wire antenna during September. Seems folks have found the wire and removed most of it. I used my homebrew AlexLoop antenna this month for all QSO's and QRP at 4 watts as always. 72 de Jeff NS8A |
V31JP - Joe (31) | As usual, fun chats or number exchanges. |
W0SZV - Eldon (31) | lots of storms, Dr. Appointments and just not feeling good but managed to get in a few outside the sprints. |
W2NRA - Art (24) | Not much to brag about here. Weather's been to nice and not enough time for all of my hobbies. |
W4KRN - Karen (0) | Gosh...another month of just working stations in the Sprints. No outside sprint contacts. Other contacts were on BPSK31 and JT65 mode. Sorry about that. |
W7GVE - Ed (11) | Not a lot going on this month---I enjoyed the SKCC sprints--hope to qso with you this next month. 73..W7GVE..ED |
WA2JSG - Curt (32) | Trying to average one Brag contact a day. Thanks all for the QSOs. |
WA4FAT - Bill (74) | It was another month spent in 'quest of S', so my time was spent more in listening than working. Never-the-less, including WES and SKS, total contacts for the month were 260, all on 40 Meters. Thanks to Curt for his dedication and hard work with the Brag portion of SKCC, and to all the wonderful men and women who share our passion for CW and hand keying. You've made my return to the air after quite a long absence a great joy. |
WA8OKR - Bill (52) | Another month finished. Wish the QRN would drop. |
WU1V - Rick (28) | Activities with XYL in last half of the month precluded a higher brag score, but many 2xQRP QSOs logged. |
September | |
AC2C - Ron (38) | I finally made an average of greater than one per day ! |
AF4K - Bry (251) | It was fun making my first real effort at the Brag! So much fun that it will not be the last! Thanks to all who participated! |
F5DE - Bernard (4) | Not too bad ! One contact the first day of the month, three contacts the last day. The result could have been worst and I hope to do a better result in October, hi ! 73 to the group ! |
K4CML - Colin (18) | First time submitting for Brag, so not too good. As winter comes around I hope to have more time to operate. |
K6III - Jerry (135) | Mostly QRP-5w this month. Getting close to 1xQRP and 2xQRP. Maybe finish those awards up by the end of the year. I am away from the rig and QTH for the first 2 weeks of Oct. CUL |
K8JD - John (87) | Had a good month. Low QRN levels got me more evenings and late nights operating on the lower bands. Picked up a lot of QSOs there. See U next month |
KG6MC - Bob (62) | Slow month only 62 unique SKCC NRs. |
KZ5OM - Jerry (13) | KZ5OM is my club call. I concentrated on my personal K6iii call, mostly QRP- 5w this month. (see a separate report for K6iii). |
LJ6BG - Mick (63) | We had often a very active geomagnetic field with poor condx from Norway. 20m is closing early in the evening for us. Therefor I am very happy with my score this month. Thank you all for pulling me thru. 73 de Mick |
N3ADF - Jim (72) | 1st Brag report. Wasn't really trying but it was fun looking back over the QSO log and remembering the friends I've made via SKCC. 128 total QSOs with 72 unique numbers including 10 DX stations. Included all bands from 80m thru 6m. I jump around a lot. |
N5JPX - Jim (9) | I'm not bragging ... I'm just reporting that I'm still here and sometimes, I get on the air. |
NC4RT - Randy (1) | Several issues (family, electrical, vacation) conspired to limit my on-air time this month. I did connect with Julio NP3CW, using my Vizkey paddles as a straight key, and a 66' EF wire out the condo window on 20m. |
NU4M - Greg (4) | I'm at new QTH down from my parents. Got married in June and now got my station back up and running. I'm using an end-fed antenna but I"m going to put my loop back up soon. Greg NU4M |
V31JP - Joe (31) | Our rainy season started, finally. But that brings storms, the aerials are disconnected as like right now. Thank you for the QSOs gang. |
W0SZV - Eldon (36) | Did better than I thought I would. Looking forward to the low bands this winter |
W1RO - Jim (5) | My brag is not about the number of SKCC members worked. It is the fact that I worked NN0SS while mobile between Las Vegas and Reno, NV on US95 in an area of the desert where cell services is not available for hours at a time. The brag is he was running 4 watts from MN while I was mobile with 100 watts on the 15 meter SKCC frequency using a bumper mount vertical antenna with resonators up for 40 and 12 meters. The mobile antenna is attached to an auto-tuner to keep the radio happy however, still a very inefficient as radiating systems go. Still having fun with ham radio! |
W4KRN - Karen (0) | Darn...another month of just Sprint contacts. Will do better this month. Been playing on 10m and Warc bands JT65...gets addicting. Plus, the weather has been great. 73 |
W4RQ - Rich (65) | My Thanks to Jerry K6III, Bert F6HKA, and Mick LJ6BG for 1000mpw QRP QSOs this month in my first time Brag which included 4 Continents, 9 countries, & 3 Canadian Provinces. |
W7GVE - Ed (16) | Another slow month-- hopefully I will be back in order soon. Just going over my skcc career and so far I have worked 3,005 members... also have 3068 of the 3077 USA Counties and 204 confirmed countries... What a great hobby.. 73/ed |
WA2JSG - Curt (12) | Missed my 1-a-day goal in September. Will try again in October. Thanks to all. |
WA4FAT - Bill (89) | Closing in on TX8, with 6 to go! Thanks to everyone for their help. |
WU1V - Rick (14) | Most of my SKCC contacts this month were SKSE and WES so I only made 14 brag contacts. Also I was more interested in making the NAQCC and NAQCC-EU QRP Challenges for the month of September (which I did) which occupied much of my attention on the air. Other hobbies are pulling me away from radio at the present moment as well. But the lure of CW is strong, like Masefield's Sea Fever which "Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied" hihi. |
October | |
AC2C - Ron (20) | Slow month for me - too many other activities. |
AF4K - Bry (273) | Great to hear the bands opening up more now that Autumn is here. Thanks to everyone who partipates in the monthly brag. 73 from Central Florida! |
F5DE - Bernard (2) | Only two brag contacts this month, thanks to Tom KC9RXI and Rich K4DJ ! 73 de F5DE. |
K4DJ - Rich (84) | On the 14th, Jerry, K6III, asked me for a Brag contact. I told him I didn't know what a Brag contact was. After he explained, I discovered that would be a great opportunity to make contacts with stations irregardless of there status or previous QSOs. Lots of fun. |
K7CHS - Rick (6) | Thank you for the QSO's. 73 |
K8JD - John (98) | A lot of bad WX let me stay in my cozy radio shack and make a lot of contacts. The largest group of numbers were in the 11000-11999 range and the smallest in 2000-2999 and 3000-3999 groups. |
KZ5OM - Jerry (25) | Focus was primarily on my personal call, k6iii |
LJ6BG - Mick (57) | At times, the condx to the USA have been quite good in our late afternoons this month, when I have other priorities than radio. In our early mornings (after 01:00 UTC) it was often difficult for me to get through. Thanks to all who pulled me out of the qsb :-) |
N3ADF - Jim (97) | Has a lot of fun working the guys and achieved Tx8 in the process. |
N4OW - Al (121) | First brag - just making contacts as they come - SKCC is the best ! |
N5JPX - Jim (26) | Thanks for the QSO's and the fun! |
N8KR - Ken (18) | Nothing to "brag" about. Fun! |
NC4RT - Randy (18) | Includes a W1AW/8. Thanks Ted K8AQM! My highest number _and_ my 2nd lowest for the month (#118T and #12320S were back to back QSOs. |
V31JP - Joe (17) | Too buzy and it cut into "On the Air" activity |
VA5CW - Bill (187) | My first time trying the brag. Averaged 10 a day up to WES, then played a bit in WES and averaged just over 4 a day after WES. I did not get into the sprint until the last few minutes, but managed a couple of sprint qso's, then back to the brag. My PC went to the shop on the the 29th along with my brag log, so that was the end of my involvement. Not sure I will do the brag with the same focus in the future, but it was fun fishing for the qso's... a person could get "hooked" on this little activity pretty easy! |
W0SZV - Eldon (19) | slow month. too many Dr. appointments. looking forward to the top band with colder wx coming on |
W1LIC - Wes (6) | Making progress towards my S |
W2NRA - Art (35) | WX still to nice to be indoors. Maybe next month. |
W4KRN - Karen (7) | Better than last month! ;-D |
W4RQ - Rich (97) | Working towards Tx8 (got it 10/19) inflated my numbers this time, but hopefully I can keep it going in coming months. The closer to Senator I get, the more I realize it don't matter whether my QSO partner has a new T or S for me, or not. I'm finding more joy in giving mine to those who are working toward their own C, T, or S. Go figure! |
W7GVE - Ed (50) | A much better result for me this month--- Worked a lot of EU on 12 and 15 sure good to see the SKCC is doing well worldwide. I hope to do more than 50 next month.. 73 ED.W7GVE |
WA2JSG - Curt (16) | My total this month is about half of my one-a-day score that I promised to make. Off to the Tower with me! Lol Thanks to all here for keeping this activity alive and growing. |
WA4FAT - Bill (246) | A busy month for me! After reaching TX8 on October 13, I've plunged ahead in earnest toward Senator, and now am only 16 shy of that elusive goal. Thanks to everyone for your patience and golden ears. What fun this has been. I'll post an article after the fact with full statistics on just how many SKCC contacts it took from zero to Senator. Be well, my friends! |
WB7EUX - Tom (43) | Another stellar performance from northeast Oregon. :-)) |
WU1V - Rick (14) | Not a lot to brag about, took it easy this month. Still plodding along at Tx6. 73 all, Rick |
November | |
AB6YA - Warren (74) | All 5watt QRP |
AF4K - Bry (272) | It was a fun month. Lots of QRN but made some exciting new contacts with a few DX stations as well as meeting up on the air with friends old and new. Thank you to each one who makes this fun event possible. This month I upgraded the station and made some steps toward assembling a tower and beam that will stretch the signals that little bit farther. I hope to see some of you in the Novice Rig Roundup using your old tube rigs (or newer rigs!) Feb 6 - 13, 2015. Be there! |
F5DE - Bernard (22) | Always a pleasure to get a Brag result even if not a big one! 73 everybody! |
K4DJ - Rich (202) | After discovering Brag QSOs, decided to give November a run with my 75-100 watts. Enjoyed all the QSOs, but xyl didn't enjoy my spending so much time between the headphones. Thanks to all for the nice QSOs. Some responded to my request that we had already worked on that band. Guess some of us still haven't learned about TX8, SX2 and Brag yet. December will be a little more subdued, contactwise. 73, Rich |
K6III - Jerry (75) | Working on several SKCC awards at this time including WAS & WASc 1xQRP & 2xQRP as well as QRO on multiple bands. All good fun! Jerry |
K8JD - John (117) | My biggest count came from 5000's, 10000's, 11000's and 12000's This month was a good one for working SKCC members from this QTH ! |
KZ5OM - Jerry (20) | Casual ops with this club call. I concentrated on my personal call K6iii this month. All good fun chasing after several SKCC awards. Jerry |
LJ6BG - Mick (53) | Thanks to all who came back. It's always fun to get a contact into the log. About 30 f my qsos were with EU-stns this month. |
N3ADF - Jim (199) | This was a good month; my best ever. Completed Tribune x8 on the Nov. 1 so started on my Senator on the Nov. 2nd. Got 149 toward the Senator by the end of November. Just need 51 more by Dec. 18th, my 70th birthday or by the end of the year. Thanks to all the Ts & Ss for the QSOs. |
N4OW - Al (117) | Had fun working many "no letter" Stations that I had passed over in my Quest for the S. -- Bragging is addictive. :) |
N5JPX - Jim (35) | I am happy with my average of 1.16 contacts per day for the brag. I had a total of 119 CW QSO's in November but the Fun Event and sprints don't count for the brag. Averaging 4 contacts a day kept the old key busy and I had fun! It gave the new KXPA100 a chance to get broken in properly. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I hope to see all of you in the log in December. 73, Jim |
NC4RT - Randy (34) | The mean SKCC# for the month was 5795, with a STDEV of 3853. I'm looking especially for Ts and Ss, so I tend to get members in the 8,000-12,000 range. But I did have QSOs with three members <300. Thanks to all, especially the 8 2xQRP's and 2 1xQRP's I had... Jim KG7Q and I worked NV/NC on 40 meters, 2xQRP... |
NW7US - Tomas (46) | It is nice to get back into the straight key operating chair, from which I am meeting new SKCCers as well as having QSOs with current SKCC friends. |
V31JP - Joe (52) | Finally, I am squeaking in a little on-the-air time. |
VA5CW - Bill (134) | Working on "S" more, and just grabbing whatever came along. |
W0SZV - Eldon (33) | had a good time and managed to get a little over one a day average. |
W1FJI - Art (1) | I worked LJ6BG in Norway with 3 watts which was 1,474 miles per watt. |
W4RQ - Rich (99) | While this is by most standards, not really a Brag, actually, I've been working on getting my "S" and so far I have 146 of the 200 needed. Pickings are getting slimmer it seems, but then again, I'm not making this a contest. I figure if I got this far, 54 more will come eventually. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the Ride and whether you are Lettered or not, I'd love to QSO with you. de W4RQ Rich in S. Florida |
W7GVE - Ed (96) | Now I have it back on track... Was talking to F6HKA Bert and it looks like we are at the same point in working as many SKCC members=== I have 3194 so far--- maybe some one else has more than Bert and me ??? Lots of great ragchews.. CU next month..73 ED./W7GVE |
WA4FAT - Bill (104) | Thanks to everyone for the many wonderful SKCC contacts during the month of November. What a great group we have here! 73 & happy holidays, y'all. |
WU1V - Rick (2) | Not very active this month. Other hobbies and commitments took precedence. |
