I enjoyed the contacts I made since it was my first attempt at a saunter or any cw activity with a straight key!
Great to be back after a lengthy hiatus from SSS. Newly installed end fed stealth antenna seems to work OK. Looking forward to more QSOs next time,
73, Ed
Only about 4 hours behind the key for this SSS.
Most cs's were new to me and all seemed to handle the key very well (translate, I was able to copy).
Enjoyable time.
Good band conditions, called CQ and worked them as they came. Then the wife complained near the end that I wasn't slow at all. I'm to give an apology for my actions (fast fist) in order to receive any future fresh baked cookies! This is serious as I rarely send in results or comments for the Slow Speed Saunter. I will change my ways next month and maybe you should too. QRS PSE BK
I was out of town and got home just in time to log on and make one quick QSO.
I'll do better next month. :D
Though the conditions were bad, I enjoyed the event while chatting on the Sched page. 73
Thank you, this was my first SSS.
Didn’t have much time, but looking forward to making more time for the SSS next month. Great event!
Glad to have a few QSO's during this SSS event.
I was operating from a local POTA park. TU es 73, Jeff K9JP
My first CW QSO. Very happy!
Another fun SSS! Not able to participate as much as I would have liked. Looking forward to more next month!
Tied up most of Saturday at big hamfest and then ministry duties took half of Sunday - but still managed good effort. 14 of my 19 contacts had numbers over 26,000; good to see so many relaitively new hams participate. Semper cw; see all 01 OCtober // Dave // W1DV
I was hoping for a few more QSO's but too many thunderstorms on Sunday. Until next time 73.
The conditions were challenging, but it was energizing to see the active users list full during the SSS. Looking forward to the next one. - 73 Nate NA2DX
Not as much time as hoped, but 20 and 40 were open enough for some QSOs. Looking forward to September. Best 73, George
Thank You for the September SSS QSO's. 73. Larry
Few answered CQ while answering CQ had better results
Always an enjoyable event. TNX Dave for keeping this on the schedule! C U next month. 73 steve
Yaesu FT-891 @ 25W into an M0CVO Magitenna. Using a Begali Postal straight key.
FT-891, 30W, random wire antenna
Band conditions are starting to improve and it is great to hear a lot of members on the air. 73!
Well SSS was on Sunday and I have the Sun Rise Net that day so cut into my time. Had 2 very nice QSO's and conditions pretty good. Always fun to do the SSS and will be back next month for sure.
Hoped to get more QSOs in the log but the weekend was busier than expected. Thanks especially to the SKCC members who reached out via SKED page trying to do QSOs... this is a really wonderful organization for helping newer CW ops like myself to get on the air!
Poor conditions. Didn't hear much activity in WA.
It's been awhile doing the SSS.
Always a good time.
