WØSZV Operated by: Eldon, 4999T from MO

very hectic, but fun. now back to k3y!!!

N1LU Operated by: Don, 2252T from NH

80 meters was the band tonight. Very strong signals. No problem getting 599's with QRP.
Couldn't snag the club station or any K3Y's though.

NC4P Operated by: Craig, 5820 from VA

1st Sprint! Did I win? Seriously, thanks to both Darren and Rick for putting up with my
shaky code.

KO7X Operated by: Alan, 6188 from WY

Just got on for the last few minutes. Worked Javi, EA1EVA on 80M, which was the only
band that I worked. He had a good signal here in Wyoming. He could not hear me with low
power so I had to fire up the amplifier to QSO. Look for me as K3Y/7.

KD5MMM Operated by: Phil, 4209C from TX

enjoyed it.
73 all ..

KØIVK Operated by: Joe, 1436T from MO

Good band conditions on 20M for 1st 30 minutes. Went to 40M for the other hour and a
half. 40M sounded good too. Worked several new members, that's always great. Lots of
fun always.

W7RIP Operated by: Rip, 4742 from MT

I had a great time using my Himound straight key and the old Ten Tec 540. I am now
looking forward to the next one. Tnxs to all. W7RIP

K4DMU Operated by: Joe, 5036T from KY

40 and 80 Meters were in great shape for a change. Was glad to hear and work Glenn,
KE4KY, my first Sprint Kentucky QSO.

KK5NA Operated by: Joe, 1923T from TX

Always a NICE EVENT. WORKED A FEW new ones AND A COUPLE K3Y STAS.
Rig=K3 at 5Watts Ant=EDZ at 55'.

WA1LWS Operated by: Hans, 1933T from MD

First station worked was EA1EVA in Spain on 40 meters. It looked to be a good night.
Nothing on 20, but many stations on 40 and 80 heard here in Maryland.

AA4N Operated by: Mike, 4371C from TN

Great Contest! maybe my favorite... I think I made Tribune during this one!
Seemed like 40m and 80m were the bands to be on this time. I'm looking forward to the
solar max. It would be fun to have more activity on 15 and 10.

N5LUL Operated by: Brad, 3779C from TX

Found stations on 20, 40, and 80M tonight. Band conditions were in our favor this
evening! Was able to collect many new numbers tonight. Ready to do it again next month.

WA5VQM Operated by: Mark, 58 from TX

First sprint in awhile, didn't make a ton of contacts but fun as always. 20 was dead here
by 0030Z but 40 was hopping. Lots of strong signals. I even ran the old Viking
Ranger/NC173 combo in the novice band for a few contacts, but stuck with the FT-450
elsewhere. Worked a couple on 80, the band sounded good but it was clear my quickie
doublet put up last weekend is no match for my vertical that went to the great DXpedition
in the sky last storm. 73 to all.

WS9E Operated by: Joe, 3859 from WI

I managed three contacts between dinner and chores. Nice to hear so many club members on
the "high" end of 40 Mtr C W band (the old Novice segment).

WB5NPW Operated by: Jesse, 5633 from Arabi, La

First time i ever tried running a freq, and I participate in lots of contest. Yaesu FT-
847, 75 watts, trap dipole up 25'. Had fun. Can't wait until the next one.

NØNB Operated by: Nate, 6225 from KS

My first sprint got off to a very slow start with 2 QSOs in the first half hour. I did
better working three in the next half hour and then five the next half hour and four the
final half hour. It was definitely different from anything else I've tried!

W6UT Operated by: Dennis, 2417T from CA

Enjoyable as always. Didn't get to spend much time on tonight. To many phone calls and no
one else to answer them anymore.

N7RVD Operated by: Brian, 6146 from FL

Only my second SKCC sprint. Worked 15 Q's the first hour on 40 meters and another 15 the
second hour on 80. Maybe should have stayed on 40 where conditions were better?? Best DX
from NFL was EA1EVA. Lots of noise. I gave out several 319, 439, 429, etc. reports.
Many folks were right down in the noise, just barely copyable.

W4CUX Operated by: Bill, 5497 from GA

Lots of fun. Got into a ragchew with a SKCC member at the end who was not in the contest.
Nice way to close out the contest. Looking forward to next month.

NØUMP Operated by: Bill, 659T from MO

I had a lot of fun. There was lots of stations on and I even got to work WA0BGV, Slim on
the other side of my county...73 and look for you on the next sprint. Bill

AJ4SB Operated by: Rob, 5552C from FL

Fast and furious sprint!!! Poor conditions, but certainly not impossible. Two hours flew
by!!

N2JNZ Operated by: George, 2836T from NY

Had a good time !!! First contact calling CQ was Javi , EA1EVA with a great signal !! Good
to work alot of new calls with few T and C calls. Used my Annie bug with the weight from
the Vizkey and felt great !!! Nice signals from all over the US like Brian , N7RVD on 80
meters from WA. see you all next time !!!!

my weapons !!!!

K9ZMD/6 Operated by: Gary, 891T from CA

Busy night, busy bands. CQ'ing wasn't cutting the mustard for me, even with the K3Y/6
call sign, so I did a lot of S&P this time. Fun. Felt like Santy Claus handing out 10
points to almost everyone I pounced upon. I say almost, because I couldn't catch the
attention of all pouncees. Not to name anyone in particular, but his initials are SKC :)
and he seemed to be having a really busy two hours. Like sipping from a fire hose, I'd
bet. 73 'til next time.

Gary, K9ZMD/6
Palmdale, CA

VE3AKV Operated by: Bob, 5204T from ON

Hey there...40m was happening for me once again. 7.113.2 is where I was for most of the
SKS, then I got "jacked" :) As always, I enjoyed myself and I look forward to the next SKS.

73... VE3AKV/QRP

Ps... I'll bet Werner(N8BB) beat my score again :)

WB8SDA Operated by: Carmen, 2339 from OH

Well, the score is right. Zero for my 1:45 of trying on 5 watts. Funny, I just made a
contact on the same 5 watts after my 2 hour window closed and can't count it for this
month. I still enjoyed getting on. I heard lots of activity here in Cleveland, OH. See you
next time...

NE7D Operated by: Rock, 665T from OR

I blew the first few minutes calling CQ on an empty 15M band. Dropped to 20, but couldn't
get anything going there either so moved early to 40M and spent the rest of my time there.
Very nice to work all the new members and a few non-SKCC'ers. Also nice to have K9SKC
call me for a change -- tnx, Dave!

W1WBB Operated by: Bill, 6399 from RI

It was fun working the SK Sprint as the newest group member with my new SKCC #6399 barely
one day old! Thanks to the many members who took the time to welcome me to the SKCC.

Using a vintage J-38 straight key handed down to me from my father, now N4MKJ. Worked
just 40m and 80m. Hope to be active in various future events from here in RI.

Running an ICOM-737 @ 100w to OCF Multiband dipole abt 38' AGL.

73, Bill W1WBB SKCC#6399

K9FO Operated by: Will, 5811 from IL

Got a late start but conditions OK on 40M. Orion at 100 watts and a 40 dipole at 50 feet.
A MacElroy Streamkey from 1940. Very nice feel. CU next time. Will, K9FO

WA1VIL Operated by: Greg, 443T from MA

Another sprint in the books, always an enjoyable event. Thanks for the contacts and 73 to
all!

Only snagged 4 contacts on 40m prior to QSYing to 80 where I was able to put 6 more SKCC
sprinters in the log. All 10 contacts netted a different State. 80m sounded in
excellent shape and most had to be pleased with the good propagation there tonight. I
was happy to hear and work Bill W1WBB in RI (6399) as I rarely work that State. Lots of
fun after a short absence from the Sprints (gotta do better ref. my preciptation in
giving out WV & my number). Many thanks to SKCC for the sponsorship of this FB operating
event. 73, Gary -K8KFJ- SKCC #2444

I was late getting home from some shopping but got to operate the last hour. I started on
20, which turned out to be dead, then shifted to 40 and worked these 3. I tried 80 hoping
to work one or two stations before this event ended and the Tuesday evening Fox Hunt
started. It seemed like 40 was only open to WA this evening. Bert, K6CSL

bands were hoping good tonight, made me think of 1967................mike w7dra

VE5CUL Operated by: Brian, 1672 from SK

This SKS was great fun again. I was surprised that 20 stayed open for a while.
I then went to 40 and it sounds like 80 was good too.
I heard many of you that I missed and hope to QSO with you another day.
We are back into serious winter weather here so I will be inside listening often.

K1NV Operated by: Jon, 2609-T from NV

I made 9 QSO's on 20M, but the best action was on 40M with good signals from all
directions including KH6G, WL7WH, and VE5DC. Best DX was probably Rob, AJ4SB, in FL.
It was good to work WA1BXY in RI which may be rarer than NV for many of us. The number of
new members appearing in these activities is growing and I caught Dan, KK7O, in WA who
holds SKCC #6181. I had planned on some 80M work toward the end of the sprint, but 40M
was just too lively to depart from.

Another great sprint. Thanks Dave, KI6BHB!!.
I had the Ten-Tec Argosy running tonight so I could instantly go QRO, QRP or QRPp. Never
heard K9SKC, but was pleased to here a lot of low numbers again. It's great to see all the
low numbers getting active again. Big signal tonight was KE5YUM, Terry in OK. The little
Argosy needle had no where else to go, it was locked right!! A pleasant surprise was Rob,
G4LMW breaking a pile up and giving me a contact. Thanks Rob! Two more new to me Canadian
stations. Very nice Bug fist too. Only two more to go fore the maple leaf award! And to
the N5J?? station I couldn't quite get, my apologies. I'll find you again someday. Thanks
to all and see you in February.

80 dead, 40 went pretty quiet the 2nd hour. Nice to be get on again after these few quiet
months. Propagation to this winter black hole seems to be improving.

KA2KGP Operated by: Tom, 1494 from NY

A nice sprint, 40 & 80 were both decent, even got a QSO on 160m. Rig: IC-7000 at 25w.
into a 5 band dipole or 160m. coil sloper with straight key. Keep warm & see ya next
sprint. 73

KE5YUM Operated by: Terry, 5173C from OK

I enjoyed this sprint very much. 40 meters was open from the east to west coast, and I
was able to work from Maryland to California. Thanks for all the contacts. My TS-520
with a long wire works very well. 73, Terry

WB8ENE Operated by: Art, 3773 from OH

Got 6 more contacts towards my "C". Had a great time. TNX for the nice QSO Jim NO9T.

W1LIC Operated by: Wes, 1142C from ME

Enjoyed another sprint. Not a big number of contacts but it was nice to QSO several
stations I hadn't worked before. I also logged some more towards my Tribune. Of my 13
contacts, 11 were on 80, 1 on 40, and 1 on 160.

KQ1P Operated by: John, 5068 from ME

Conditions on 40m and 80m were quite good for SKS. I tried to break through the K3Y pile-ups but had no luck during
the sprint. Worked some new members; welcome to SKCC. EA1EVA had a very strong signal (>S6) here in Maine on
both 40m and 80m. Until next time, 73.

Was busy around the house but did manage to snag a new number- Tnx Darron WA5TCZ.

AC7T Operated by: Doug, 5368T from WA

Conditions were very nice on 40 meters. I had a great time operating K3Y/7 for an hour.
My apologies to the few weak signals I couldn’t pull out of the noise. I ended the sprint
with an enjoyable QSO with someone who lived near my home town. Thanks to the operators
and organizers who made this such a fun event.

WA1AR Operated by: Alan, 4079T from MA

Sounds like everybody had fun. I listed my power as less than 1 watt. Actually it was 0
watts as I was at a business dinner meeting the whole time. So I submit my zero score to
add my moral support to those that actually were able to get on the air. Ill see some of
you Friay and Saturday morning as K3y/1.

Got off to a late start and had planned to work QRP, that worked for VE3AKV & N8BB. When I
called AF2Z he wasn't able to pull me out. After going off frequency to re-tune I found
Drew again. This time he heard me 579, well sure, I had not turned the power back down, that
blew that....then I hear a big signal...K0LUW...like he was in the backyard...1KC down I
found K3Y/8 N8AMM with a great signal, had to support the K3Y effort. Then I had to QSY
for a local net....gotta say...QRP is a challenge but is rewarding when you think about it.
January has been a full month here with storms, family, & of course the K3Y event.
Good to see all the Missouri listings...73/72 Rick

N8BB Operated by: Werner, 5433T from MI

Thanks first off to all the fine ears out there copying my qrp. Great job by all and lots
of fun for me.40 meters started out ok but got noisey so I did my most damage with 32 Q's,
mostly cq'ing. Worked a few new numbers and hopefully helped more get closer to their
letter C or T. Last Q was with WB5RYB right under the wire. Werner Haschke N8BB
p.s. Sorry Bob,VE3AKV, just too much fun to not continue. You are a good sport.

Well, I got 6 contacts and got called to work rite in the middle of the sprint. Not to
bad. Bands were great and so was the group. Hope to do better next time.

Another fun event...operated K3Y/9 the entire time. Managed to pick up two K3y/ stations.
Spent the majority of time on 40 meters and catch a few towards the end on 80 meters.
Used my K4VIZ "Cootie Key" for the contacts...my first side swiper. Feeling pretty
comfortable with the key now that I've had it for a month. I enjoy it so much that there
are days I don't want to even play with the bug. Thanks for all the contacts fellas. It
was a great time, and, as always, look forward to others! 73s, jack KKØI/K3Y/9 Appleton

Operated last hour of the Sprint. 80 Meters was the best band for me. Ten-Tec Argonaut V
to the end fed random wire up 15 feet. Key used was my Bencher RJ-2.

W1EJ Operated by: Ed, 1594T from CA

K3Y and a Sprint at the same time. It doesn't get any better than that.

Resubmitted , finally got the bonus points done properly. Worked one K3Y
station.Contacts mostly on 80M and one on 160M and two on 40M.
40M was kind of flat here.

The first sprint I actually worked - didn't make a ton of contacts, but was more
interested in "getting the feel" for it. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the
next one.

Good condx on 80m. I kept fairly busy for a change just calling CQ on 80; stayed there the
entire sprint. Worked Eastern US, mostly. Rig: Elecraft K3 running 12 watts to 100' random
wire, up 30'. Junker straight key.
