Not many signals heard here in LA on 20m. Had to pop back and forth from radio to other domestic duties :^)) Enjoyed the theme, though in retrospect Palm Sunday local noon turned out to not be a convenient time.

Only 2 QSOs but both were 2xQRP @ about 1000 mi, so got good scoring efficiency. I think the theme may work better in a 24 hour event to even out propagation as well as domestic priorities :^))

Miles/Watt Bonus program not usable for hams who run a Linux Box.

WA1AR Operated by: Alan

Little time this afternoon, only about 15 min. Company and baby sitting got in the way, had to sneek away and search for someone calling CQ, just enough time to make 2 QSOs on 20M.

KD7ATV Operated by: Eric

Alot of fun. I like the Miles per Watt concept. Should do more mystery sprints like this.

KB9YGD Operated by: Norm

I like the mystery sprint its well done and good change from regular activities.I worked only 2 stations KE0N and and W4foa/qrp at 3 watts but had a ball.Tu everyone de Kb9ygd.

AF2Z Operated by: Drew

Bands were very dead. I parked near Dave NE5DL and Bert W5ZR for awhile on 20m; both had good signals, but I couldn't hear any of the stations they were working. I lost Ron WW5G in mid-exchange on 20m. Also Heard Feco HA8KW on but he couldn't hear me. My rig: Elecraft K3 running 10 watts to 100' endfed wire antenna; trusty Junker straight key.

WL7WH Operated by: Bob

The event was fun, but the start time was bad for Alaska. Would like to have another sprint, but maybe starting 2100utc.
Thanks for the great work by the organizer.....best to all..Bob

WB9TFH Operated by: Gil

Not very good propagation or too few in the contest. Would of like to had more Q's. Had a lot fun anyway. Do it again.
Tnx, 73 everyone.

KK0I Operated by: Jack

Got a later start, but there wasn't that much activity out there. Used my K4VIZ Vizbug for this event. Because of the low participation, thought it was a so-so event.

N4KGL Operated by: Greg

I did three QSOs the 1st one at 10 Watts the second two at 5 watts. So I am using 10 watts in the miles per watt calculation for all three. I overlooked the rule that you must use the power level of the the first QSO.

KE5ZFZ Operated by: Gary

Not a member but QSL these guys who I think were working the contest.

The exchange was a bit cumbersome but forced one to slow down and smell the roses a bit. I really enjoyed it. I found that Sprints really are well suited to my operating style.

Thanks very much to K2RFP for his excellent miles per watt application.

Thanks for doing it! Looking forward to the next one.

NT9K Operated by: Bill

This was a nice fun change of pace. All my QSO's were on 20 meters using my Cushcraft MA5B mini beam and 5 watts. Only used the Amplidan this time. Nice to hear the DX participating. I had 3 nice DX contacts, France, Hungary and Alaska. Those sure helped my score. Band condx were very odd. I missed many of the regulars. I worked 2 non-members and hope they will join the SKCC. Special thanks to Dick K2FRP, for all the hard work pulling this event off. Bravo! I can't wait to see what the next mystery will be.
73, Bill NT9K

K4OSO Operated by: Milt

What a neat idea. Only wish I could have worked more than an hour of the Sprint. Nice going, guys!

WA9VEE Operated by: Wayne

For me, 20 wasn't up to snuff, and 40 was close in. Fun enough, but were all members out there? Sounded a little lonely. Sticking to original power didn't do me any favors. Based on band condx I would have liked to turn on the amp. Just noticed the contest at the last minute on WA7BNM's contest page.

KC2KY Operated by: Neil

As usual, I had a lot of fun. We got a break in the weather so I cranked the tower up to 40 feet. The new K-3 got a good workout for three hours. 20 meters seemed to have better propagation into Europe than stateside. Working Phil, KL8DX, in Danali, AK with five watts was icing on the cake. Congrats to all who participated. See you again next weekend.

N4RE Operated by: Rick

I only heard 5 stations working the Sprint in 3 hours. However, I had enjoyable QSOs with non-members - mostly straight keys and great fists. Hope they join SKCC!

AC7T Operated by: Doug

Thanks for organizing this fun event. I heard few stations, but this could have been due to my "limited" antenna in the attic.

HA8KW Operated by: Feco

I had time only for the 2nd half of the contest but enjoyed it. Sri KL8DX was hrd right at the end so QSO was out of the contest but it was also a pleasure to me. TNX for the chance for working low power straight key stations!

KA1XC Operated by: John

Aaaaarg, this was torture! :^)

I decided to try some QRP so I throttled the rig back to 5 watts and regretted it after it became obvious that some stations couldn't hear me. But the real bummer was some loud line noise that started up and really put a damper on 20/40 meter receiving. Spent over two hours for only 4 confirmed QSO's!

NE5DL - David, you had a real good sig at first but halfway through your exchange you just faded out completely and I never hear you again.
KU8L - Curt, A+ for the effort, I almost got all your info, and I know you were having trouble with me too.

The two loudest sigs on 40 were VA3TSK and K4OSO, both running only 5 watts!

But I'm glad I participated anyway and had some fun. When I first read the scoring rules I started to get a headache and wasn't sure if I wanted to participate, but then realized the helper program would take care of things. Nicely done Dick!

KB4QQJ Operated by: Randy

Well I blew it by not paying attention to the time of operation. I was looking forward to the event. Next time (there better be one) I'll be ready.
Great Idea, great scoring method and just plain fun! I look forward to more of these events.

As always, the Sprint would have been more fun had the participation been better.
