GØRDO Operated by: John/Lucy from England

Only had a go for first 3/4 hour as England vs Brazil football (soccer) was on the telly. CQ DOG was most enjoyable despite the poor conditions
and TESTs going on. Managed 2 QSO's and thanks to Cliff/KU4GW with dog Mickey and Lind/WA2WMR and pooch Mac Traviss. ( I probably got that all wrong, but
what the heck - it was great fun).

You want my ball ? Well come and take it !

LW3EX Operated by: Walt/Sara from Argentina

Nice sprint theme. Good conditions on 21 & 28 MHz.
Thanks for the fun event, looking forward to the next...

KI6BHB Operated by: Dave/Gus from CA

Gus was found abandoned and emaciated on the streets of Pomona. He traded the hard life on the street for the hard life on the couch.

Only got on for the last 30 minutes. Had a fun 20-meter QSO with Doug, AC7T. Thanks for the fun mystery sprint.

WA1AR Operated by: Alan from MA

Had only a few minuits and put the rig on 20M to check band conditions. Heard LW3EX so I called him. When he sent "dog dog" I was confused,
thought he needed to take care of the dog so I said 73 CUL. Went to K3UK and saw people barking?? Is it a full moon or lack of sun spots?? Now I am even
more confused, am I having a senior moment? Then I checked the SKCC web page and finally figured it out. Unfortunately had other things to do so I
doggedly submit 1 WOOF QSO.

KB4QQJ Operated by: Randy/Sam from NC

Well, Sam and I had a great time. I didn't get to play the whole game but had much fun! No Internet from the field so I didn't get on the sked
page until the last 35 minutes. Had Ron, AC2C at 20 over but missed him in the last few seconds. Sorry for the Dupe Sandy, I thought it was Ron's call.
Strongest signal worked was Sandy, KB3HBD at 10 over. I heard Bill, NT9K on 10 meters but couldn't make it back. Walt was a big bone to catch on 15
meters! Thanks me Amigo!
Special Thanks to Dick, K2RFP. This was a keeper. Let's do it again sometime!

If you get on that boat without me, I'll chew the antenna off this pier!!!

KØKEX Operated by: Rick/Pax from MO

Well darn, I had the time figured incorrectly...BUT...looking back I have figured out where I went wrong. Although we no longer have pets one of
our favorites was
PAX, the name in Latin stands for Peace. I missed the clues on K3UK, I was busy working some 17M SKCC members...KK7YJ..had a pileup going with Japan
using a vertical in his garage....Jim was 599 here in Mo. 40M was heavy with RTTY qso's and I didn't listen on 20M...shame on me....CU all on the next
one.....

NØSSS Operated by: Adam/Spring from TX

With much ado, involving potions, explosions, and crisscrossed astrology, I finally calculated the mystery sprint to coincide with the celestial
alignment of three copper atoms eclipsing a 7120 MHz photon originating out of a four intergalactic gravitational lenses, 3 razor edge misses of Orion's
sword, 2 inverted black holes sharing the same singularity, and finally to my utter dismay, from some puny planet out along the rim of our milky way
galaxy, clearly visible through my telescope as a blue smudge. As expected, my predicted eclipse occurred right on time and my copper clad wire antenna
picked up some mysterious signals which could only be described as spine-chilling barks. My dog immediately whimpered upon hearing this alien signal
(see picture for evidence), looked over at the radio with a bit of trepidation in her eyes, and to my absolute bewilderment, fell soundly back to sleep
on her comfy mattress. TRULY, the universe holds many secrets! And I'm beginning to think, my dog knows more then she lets on.

My dog Spring, at the moment of hearing mysterious radio transmissions.

I enjoyed reading the buzz on the K3UK page during the sprint. It must have been puzzling to those not in the know as to what it was all about.

Cookie is a wonderful nine year old Bichon we got recently from a lady that could no longer keep him. The XYL and I just love this little guy.

Thanks to all sprint participants.

KU4GW Operated by: Cliff/Mickey from NC

I didn't even know about the Mystery Sprint until I worked G0RDO John on 14.050. When he asked me my dog's name I thought I copied it wrong to
begin with. After our QSO I went to the SKCC website and figured it out. That's why I only had one QSO. I guess it was a real mystery sprint to me, hi
hi!

AF2Z Operated by: Drew/Pavel from NJ

Almost missed it due to power failure here. Got one contact per each hour. Oh well, next time...

WB5JWI Operated by: Les/Jasper from TX

Leo's, KB5SXC, cat named mutt was cool! I picked up 2 more numbers. Only 2 left to go for C. QRN was horrible in my part of TX. I had 4 non-SKCC
QSO's just before the sprint and then everything went sour. Bad bands can really get old. Sprint was a great idea thought. I had a lot of fun, even if i
only had one QSO right at the start and one at the end. Otherwise I just wasted electricity. I had a lot of multipath problems on 20 and 15. My old ears
just couldn't sort out the code from the ringing/echos that kept cropping up. Thanks to all.

AC7T Operated by: Doug/Chumley from WA

This was a very fun event. Welcome to WA6AYD, and thanks for the contact. Thanks, also, to KI6BHB for the enjoyable QSO. I thought I had the
time wrong, as there wasn’t much activity. Perhaps I’ll use the K3UK page next time.
Chumley, my guide dog, is a3-year-old golden Retriever Yellow Lab cross. He is hard working and brisk-paced. He can also be very friendly and playful.
He’s never met a human or
squeaky toy he didn’t like.

I'd rather be playing.

WB2UWU Operated by: Finn/Friday from NY

Being a mean dad, I did not allow our daughter Heidi to have a dog when
she was a child. Some 40 years later she finally managed to get one.
After some hesitation, Friday even got to like ME.
I generally like dogs, just do not want the 24/7 responsibility.
Dick, I answered your CQ, but got no response.

I fouled up the start time. Wish I had gotten it right. I like the mystery sprints and hope to see them more often! Thanks Dick, for doing the
work to bring us these events. I feel pretty silly about not getting the start time right. I had found a link that showed local time for that country and
according to it, the event would have started at 5pm est. I wonder how many others used the same clock link that I did?

I don't let any dogs on the place - head guard bird on duty - have beak will bite!

VE3CWU Operated by: Bob/Rex from ON

I don't have a dog ( or any pet) , so I can't show you my dog !! It was fun event. Was disapointed with how few SKCC members knew about the
theme or that there was a Mystery Sprint happening. Pretty well ran for 2 of the 3 hours and that gave me most of my QSOs. S&P last hour was not
productive at all. Prety well had to "dig" for the proper exchange. Don't really know how to solve that problem. Thanks again to the organiser for a fun
event.

********************

Although I posted earlier I have disqualified myself from this event and changed my scores to zero's as it seems was likely operating at the wrong time.
I Googled Petropavlosk, and came up with Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan, which I used for my time conversion. It seems the intended target, which most
everyone else was using is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Kamchatka, Russia. I started was 22:00z and should have started at 16:00z. Thought it was pretty
peculiar there was no "dog talk" on the sked page when I was operatiing. Oh well, I did have a few "honest" repies with dog names non the less, and I
did have fun, which is what the whole event was about. 73, and congrats to the orgainisers for a fun event.
73, Bob

An honest mistake and my fault for not being more specific. Your original score stands. Anyone else making the same mistake can post a score.
